Origin and development

In 1963, after years of research, T.I.A.C. introduced on the market the first W1 grinding wheel, a new concept of centerless grinding for through feed grinding of short parts such as rollers, needles, shafts, pins, ect.
This product was an innovative step foward compared to commonly used abrasive of the time, because it performed for longer periods while rough grinding.
This experience fed the interest of our clients and lead to additional improvements and development.
The original W1 consequently evolved into other improved designs, as W1M, W2, W2F and W1M extra, until in 1994 the first ZB series wheel was sold.
